With less than 48 hours until the 2024 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series season gets underway at Daytona International Speedway, the entry list for the Fresh from Florida 250 has two new entries.

In a mid-week update to the preliminary entry list, NASCAR confirmed that both Jennifer Jo Cobb and Ryan Huff have entered the season-opener for the NASCAR Truck Series.

As previously confirmed by TobyChristie.com, Cobb, a veteran of the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, will be piloting the No. 10 Chevrolet Silverado for Jennifer Jo Cobb Racing.

Clayton Hughes, a long-time NASCAR National Series spotter, is listed as the crew chief of the No. 10 Chevrolet Silverado.

In 232 NASCAR Truck Series starts Cobb has a single top-10 finish, which came in the 2011 season-opener at Daytona International Speedway, finishing in sixth place. At Talladega Superspeedway in 2020, Cobb led a career-high 16 laps.

The second addition to the Fresh from Florida 250 entry list is Ryan Huff, a part-time driver in the ARCA Menards Series, who will pilot the No. 36 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro for Ryan Huff Motorsports.

According to Chris Knight of Catchfence.com, Huff will be piloting a superspeedway truck that was purchased from Kyle Busch Motorsports, before the sale of the team’s assets to Spire Motorsports.

At this time, no crew chief has been confirmed for the effort. However, Huff will be running double-duty, as he competes in both the ARCA Menards Series and NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series events at Daytona International Speedway.

Should Huff qualify for Friday’s 100-lap contest at Daytona, it will mark his fourth career start in the NASCAR Truck Series. In three prior starts, the Williamsburg, Virginia native has a best finish of 19th.

The 22-year-old driver has three ARCA Menards Series starts at Daytona International Speedway, scoring a best finish of 10th-place in the 2022 iteration of the General Tire 200. In 16 ARCA Menards Series starts Huff has a career-best of fifth place at Kansas Speedway in 2022.

With those additions to the entry list, there are now 40 trucks vying for 36 spots in the field in Friday’s event. In single-vehicle qualifying, the top-31 will be locked in on speed, with four owner point provisionals, and one past champion’s provisional available, if needed.
