There are 40 cars on the preliminary entry list for Saturday’s NASCAR Xfinity Series US Marine Corps 250 at Martinsville Speedway, the seventh race of the 33-race NASCAR Xfinity Series season.

With up to 38 cars being permitted to start races in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, two drivers and cars will go home at the conclusion of this week’s qualifying session.

Justin Allgaier, the winner of last week’s race at Homestead-Miami Speedway, will return this weekend as the driver of the No. 7 JR Motorsports Chevrolet.

Among the notable entries in the field is Corey Day, who will pilot the No. 17 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet.

Other notables in the field will be No. 07 Patrick Emerling, 14 Garrett Smithley, 19 Aric Almirola, 24 Patrick Staropoli, 35 Greg Van Alst, 45 Brad Perez, 53 Mason Maggio, 66 Tyler Tomassi, 70 Thomas Annunziata, and 91 Myatt Snider.
