There are 37 cars on the preliminary entry list for Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series Cook Out 400 at Martinsville Speedway in Martinsville, Virginia. This race, which takes place around the half-mile paperclip, will mark the eighth race of the 36-race NASCAR Cup Series season.

With the NASCAR Cup Series able to start up to 40 cars in the field for its events, no drivers or teams will fail to qualify for this weekend’s event. The 37 cars on the entry list this weekend is an increase from the 36 cars that raced last weekend at Richmond Raceway.

Denny Hamlin, who scored the win in last weekend’s Toyota Owners 400 at Richmond Raceway, will return this week in the No. 11 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota Camry XSE with primary sponsorship from SportClips Haircuts. Hamlin, one of two multi-time race winners in the NASCAR Cup Series in 2024, will look to visit victory lane once again at Martinsville Speedway, a track that he’s had success at in the past.

Among the notable entries, will be the No. 16 Kaulig Racing Chevrolet Camaro entry, which will be piloted by full-time NASCAR Xfinity Series racer Josh Williams, who will make his second points-paying start of the season in the NASCAR Cup Series.

Kaz Grala will once again return the driver’s seat of the No. 15 Ford Mustang for Rick Ware Racing, as he has for the last seven weeks of the NASCAR Cup Series campaign, excluding the Daytona 500, where it was occupied by Riley Herbst.

The sole open vehicle entered in Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series event at Martinsville will be the No 66 Ford Mustang for Power Source, which will be driven by a driver to be announced later.
