There are 39 drivers on the preliminary entry list for Sunday’s Food City 500 at Bristol Motor Speedway, the ninth event of the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series campaign.
With up to 40 drivers being permitted to start events in the NASCAR Cup Series this season, there will be no cars or drivers packing up and heading home following this weekend’s qualifying session.
Denny Hamlin, who went back-to-back in the NASCAR Cup Series with his victory last Sunday at Darlington Raceway, will return to action at Bristol, driving the No. 11 Toyota Camry XSE for Joe Gibbs Racing. Progressive Insurance will serve as the primary sponsor for Hamlin, who is the defending winner of the Spring race at Bristol Motor Speedway.
This weekend, there will be three open entries accompanying the 36 NASCAR Cup Series teams holding a Charter on the racetrack at Bristol Motor Speedway.
Jesse Love will make his NASCAR Cup Series debut at the half-mile concrete oval, driving the No. 33 C4 Ultimate Energy Chevrolet for Richard Childress Racing.
Corey LaJoie returns to NASCAR’s top level for his third start of the season in the No. 01 Ford Mustang for Rick Ware Racing, while Josh Bilicki will drive the Manscaped-sponsored No. 66 Ford Mustang for Garage 66.
