There are 38 drivers on the preliminary entry list for Sunday’s Cook Out 400 at Martinsville Speedway, the seventh event of the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series campaign.

With up to 40 drivers being permitted to start events in the NASCAR Cup Series this season, there will be no cars or drivers packing up and heading home following this weekend’s qualifying session.

Kyle Larson, who went to Victory Lane in last Sunday’s Straight Talk Wireless 400 at Homestead-Miami Speedway, will return to the driver’s seat of the No. 5 Chevrolet ZL1 for Hendrick Motorsports. HendrickCarscom will serve as the team’s primary sponsor for the event.

This weekend, there will be a pair of open entries on the entry list for the NASCAR Cup Series event, those belonging to Team AmeriVet and MBM Motorsports.

Burt Myers will make his points-paying NASCAR Cup Series debut in the No. 50 C3 Skids Chevrolet, while Casey Mears will return to NASCAR competition driving the No. 66 HitchGo Ford Mustang Dark Horse for MBM Motorsports.
