38 Cars on Entry List for Cook Out Clash at Bowman Gray Stadium

While the date that the Cook Out Clash at Bowman Gray Stadium will be contested is still under debate by many, due to a winter weather storm that is pounding the North Carolina region, the entry list for the event shows a total of 38 cars entered in the annual preseason exhibition event.

The two “Open” entries represented on the entry list include the No. 50 Team AmeriVet Chevrolet with Bowman Gray legend Burt Myers behind the wheel and the No. 66 Garage 66 Ford Mustang Dark Horse with Chad Finchum set to drive that entry.

The other 36 cars entered in the event are the standard Chartered entries with their expected drivers and crew chiefs, aside from the No. 6 RFK Racing entry, which will have Corey LaJoie as the driver. Brad Keselowski, who is expected to return to the No. 6 machine for the season-opening Daytona 500, is recovering from a broken leg suffered on a family ski trip in the offseason.

Chase Elliott, who is on the entry list as the driver of the No. 9 Hendrick Motorsports NAPA Auto Parts Chevrolet, is the defending winner of this event and will look to go two-for-two at Bowman Gray. The Clash moved venues to Bowman Gray in 2025 after a three-year stint at the LA Memorial Coliseum.

Prior to the Coliseum, The Clash was contested annually at Daytona International Speedway from 1979 until 2021.
