Denny Hamlin Crusies to Stage 2 Win at Kansas

Denny Hamlin was the man to beat in Stage 2 of Sunday’s Hollywood Casino 400 at Kansas Speedway, as he led 44 of the 80 laps in the Stage.

Hamlin is looking for his fifth race win of the 2019 season.

Ryan Blaney, who locked his way into the Playoffs Round of 8 with a win a Talladega, finished runner-up finish in the Stage.

Martin Truex Jr. was third, and has led 33 laps on the day.

Hendrick Motorsports teammates William Byron and Chase Elliott ended Stage 2 in fourth and fifth.

Kevin Harvick, Joey Logano, Paul Menard, Clint Bowyer and Kyle Busch rounded out the top-10 in Stage 2.

Busch suffered damage, and also had a throttle that was getting stuck. After getting repairs, Busch was able to rebound for a top-10.

Playoff contenders who finished outside the top-10 in Stage 2 included: Kyle Larson (14th), Alex Bowman (15th) and Brad Keselowski (16th)
