When the ARCA Menards Series West heads to Arizona for their season-opening event at Phoenix Raceway in March, Dean Thompson and High Point Racing will be jumping into the deep-end, with both the driver and organization making their first start in the ARCA-sanctioned series.

Thompson – the 2020 Irwindale Speedway Late Model Champion and SPEARS Southwest Tour Rookie of The Year — will begin his bid for the 2021 ARCA Menards Series West Championship at the one-mile oval, piloting the No. 51 Thompson Pipe Group Ford Fusion for Late Model team High Point Racing.

Thompson becomes the fifth driver to be confirmed for a full season in the ARCA Menards Series West, which includes defending series champion Jesse Love, Cole Moore, Takuma Koga and Bridget Burgess.
