Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series 60th Annual Daytona 500

It is Gander RV Duels at Daytona day and the action kicks off at 7PM ET on FS1. But what is really at stake?

Quite a bit for four teams, for 36 others they are vying strictly for starting positions. Then there are two drivers who know where they will start, so long as they don’t blow a motor or crash their primary car.

LOCKED IN AND STARTING POSITION SET

  1. No. 24 William Byron — will start on the pole for the Daytona 500.
  2. No. 88 Alex Bowman — will start on the outside pole for the Daytona 500.

So in essence, the Duels will come down to four drivers battling for two positions in the 40-car Daytona 500 field.

Duel 1 will feature a battle between Truex and Kligerman to see who transfers, while Gaughan and Gase will square off in Duel 2.
