Video: Team Hezeberg Entry Makes Incredible Catch Transitioning onto Banking at Charlotte’s ROVAL

Tuesday was almost an expensive day for the brand-new NASCAR Cup Series team, Team Hezeberg after the team’s No. 27 Ford Mustang had a HUGE moment when transitioning from the infield portion of the track to the first corner of the oval.

TobyChristie.com has confirmed that it was Jacques Villeneuve, who was expected to do a significant portion of the testing on Tuesday, that was behind the wheel during the big moment transitioning from the infield portion of the course onto the banked turn.

Villeneuve, who said during the team’s announcement on Sunday that he’d evaluate how the Next Gen car drove before committing to the possibility of running in the NASCAR Cup Series next season, seems to be driving hard and pushing the new car to its limits in the session on Tuesday, as the team approaches their inaugural effort in 2022.

Luckily, the organization still has its No. 27 Ford Mustang in one piece and will continue to log laps throughout the remainder of the day at Charlotte Motor Speedway’s ROVAL.
