Michael McDowell’s right front wheel flew off the No. 34 Ford Mustang on Lap 344 of Monday’s Coca-Cola 600.

Oh no, two pit crew members for the No. 34 Front Row Motorsports team will be playing the home game of NASCAR for the next two weeks after Michael McDowell lost the right front tire on his car on Lap 344 of Monday’s Coca-Cola 600 following a pit stop.

As sparks shot out from under the No. 34 Ford Mustang, the wheel rolled on its own down to the inside of the track on the backstretch.

Fortunately, no competitors hit the tire, but the debris caused the yellow flag to come out for the 12th time on the day.

Here is a video of McDowell and the missing wheel:

Front tire changr Scott Brzozowski and Jackman Adam Lewis should be the two pit crew members that will serve a two-race suspension.

McDowell now sits four laps off the pace in the 30th position as the race is in its final Stage. McDowell led four laps early in the Coca-Cola 600 due to a differing strategy from the leaders, but eventually McDowell faded off the lead lap.
