Video: Kyle Larson, Tyler Reddick Spin, Don’t Hit Anything in Pocono Practice

There were some nerve-racking moments for two of the favorites to win Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series The Great American Getaway 400 at Pocono Raceway, Kyle Larson and Tyler Reddick.

Larson, who was slotted in Group A of practice and qualifying on Saturday, would go for a spin in Turn 2 during the final moments of Group A’s practice session on Saturday afternoon at the 2.5-mile triangular race track. Fortunately, Larson would keep his car from backing into the outside wall.

A video of Larson’s spin is available above.

Prior to the spin, Larson had turned a lap fast enough to rank eighth overall in the combined practice session between Groups A and B.

Not to be outdone, 23XI Racing’s Tyler Reddick, who was in Group B, went for a spin of his own in the opening moments of Group B’s practice session. Like Larson, Reddick was able to keep his car from hitting the wall.

Here is a video of Reddick’s spin:

Reddick was able to return to the track after the spin, and with NASCAR declaring that the No. 45 23XI Racing team was allowed to change to a new set of tires, Reddick would turn the fastest lap of the combined practice session.
