Kyle Larson’s 2022 NASCAR Cup Series championship hopes ended with a bent toe link late in Sunday’s Bank of America Roval 400.

There will be no repeat NASCAR Cup Series championship for last year’s champion Kyle Larson. In the closing laps of Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series Bank of America Roval 400 at the Charlotte Motor Speedway Roval, Larson made contact with the right side of his car into the wall as he was exiting the infield portion of the road course.

Here is an onboard camera shot of Larson catching the wall:

The contact was hard enough to bend the rear toe link on his No. 5 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet. The team would repair the toe link, but would lose five laps in the process.
