Kyle Busch has run into issues in Saturday’s NASCAR Cup Series qualifying session at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, after crashing into the turn one wall.

It’s already been a difficult weekend for Kyle Busch at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, running into trouble two separate times, in two different sessions at the 1.058-mile facility on Saturday.

The latest incident, which took place in the last on-track opportunity before Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series Crayon 301, saw Kyle Busch lose traction at the entrance to the first corner, crashing his No. 8 Lenovo Chevrolet Camaro into the outside wall.

Busch, in his first season with Richard Childress Racing, had barely clocked his way into the final round of qualifying on Saturday, edging out practice leader Michael McDowell to be the fifth-fastest driver in Group A.

Now, what looked like it would be an amazing rebound from wall contact early in Saturday’s 20-minute practice session, has turned into a recovery mission for Sunday’s 301-lap event at New Hampshire.

The Las Vegas, Nevada-native will move to a backup car for Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series Crayon 301 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, meaning he will have a rebound from starting at the rear of the field. However, by virtue of making the second round, he’ll be credited with a 10th-place start.
