Kyle Busch tire barrier Chicago Street Course 2023 Grant Park 220 video crash Lap 3 Turn 6
Kyle Busch went windshield-deep into the Turn 6 tire barrier on Lap 3 of Sunday’s Grant Park 220, but somehow avoided major damage.

The first caution of the first-ever NASCAR Cup Series street race will officially be due to an incident involving Kyle Busch and the No. 8 Richard Childress Racing Chevrolet Camaro ZL1.

Heading into Turn 6 on Lap 3, Busch’s car broke traction, and he skidded into the tire barrier in Turn 6. The incident looked spectacular, but incredibly Busch didn’t incur much damage despite going windshield-deep into the barrier.

Here is Kyle Busch’s Lap 3 Turn 6 incident:

Busch reported to his team after being pulled from the barrier that his car had no steering issues, and no radiator issues. The only problems were some broken hood pins and a buckling of the body work around the hood.

The No. 8 car is back on track in 37th position, but Busch is still on the lead lap.
