In Coca-Cola 600 practice, Kaz Grala’s TMT Racing Chevrolet Camaro ran into some troubles, with the hood flying open and making it difficult to see out the windshield.

Listen, I know teams really like to prepare for many things in practice, but I don’t necessarily think preparing for the hood flying open, is a good thing to do, especially on a live track.

In the… weirdest incident of the evening, Kaz Grala’s No. 50 SEGI TV Chevrolet Camaro ran into problems during the second half of NASCAR Cup Series practice at Charlotte Motor Speedway, as the hood popped open while on track.

While there wasn’t a replay shown regarding how the hood popped itself open, it’s likely all of the hood pins weren’t properly secured, a mistake that could be costly if made in race conditions.

Luckily, Grala was able to prevent any major incidents from occurring as a result of the hood popping up.

Sunday’s Coca-Cola 600 marks the third NASCAR Cup Series event for The Money Team Racing at the sanctioning body’s top-level, after competing in events at Daytona and COTA.
