Josh Berry, who got the nod to start in Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series FireKeepers Casino 400 after Noah Gragson was handed a suspension due to a like on a questionable social media post, has crashed hard on Lap 51 of the race.
Berry, who was attempting to take 18th position in a four-wide battle with Kyle Larson, Harrison Burton, and Corey LaJoie, would lose control of the No. 42 LEGACY MOTOR CLUB machine.
The Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 would back extremely hard into the outside wall, which would end Berry’s day. Incredibly, every other driver would miss Berry’s car that careened across the track.
Scary hard impact to the rear. Glad to see Josh Berry walk away from this crash. Man. #NASCAR pic.twitter.com/3SRDGz6Je5

Berry walked away from the crash under his own power, and the driver was checked and released from the infield care center.
