Video: Hamlin Runs Wide, Austin Cindric and Others Pay the Price

On Lap 185 of Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series AdventHealth 400 at Kansas Speedway, things got a bit wild. Denny Hamlin ran wide in a four-wide battle in Turn 2 with Joey Logano, Christopher Bell and Austin Cindric. Ultimately, it pinched Cindric into the outside wall.

The contact into the wall caused Cindric to spin sideways, and as he did, Cindric collided with the side of Bubba Wallace’s No. 23 machine, which sent Wallace spinning wildly.

Cindric continued skirting down the track and collided with Michael McDowell’s car as well, which sent McDowell spinning. It was an absolute mess, and it led to Cindric being done for the day.

Here is another replay of the crash:

It’s a shame because Cindric had been having a really decent race prior to the crash. Everyone else involved in the incident was able to stay on the lead lap and continue on in the race.
