Video: Clint Bowyer Fails to Capitalize on Jimmie Johnson’s Bad Day

When Jimmie Johnson had major issues on lap 18, it looked like Clint Bowyer was a step closer to securing his place in the 2019 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Playoff field. However, in the final Stage of the race Bowyer found trouble.

While running four-wide with Paul Menard and others, Bowyer made contact with the No. 21 car and went into the outside wall hard.

The damage knocked the deck-lid off of the No. 14 car, and it ended his race.
