Video: Christopher Bell Flips Violently While Battling for the Lead in Closing Stages of 2021 Chili Bowl

PC: Christopher Bell | Twitter

In a matter of approximately three seconds, 26-year-old Christopher Bell went from being in legitimate contention for his fourth “Golden Driller”, to climbing out of his No. 84X entry after clipping the cushion in turn three and violently flipping through the air.

u/CaptainRon16 on r/NASCAR’s Reddit posted these videos of replays from the accident:

[OT] [SPOILER] Christopher Bell goes for a wild ride at the Chili Bowl with 2 laps to go.

Bell was battling fellow NASCAR Cup Series competitor, Kyle Larson, for the top-spot in the closing laps of the 2021 Chili Bowl A-Main Feature, before his iRacing-sponsored midget went for an insane ride. The Norman, Oklahoma-native eventually landed on all four wheels and was able to climb from the vehicle under his own power.

For the Joe Gibbs Racing driver, the hope is that he’s got all of the barrel rolls and scary accidents out of his system, before he takes to the track at Daytona International Speedway next month.
