The No. 62 Beard Motorsports team will return for the upcoming NASCAR Cup Series races at Daytona International Speedway and the Charlotte Motor Speedway ROVAL with Austin Hill set to drive the car. That’s not new information, but on Wednesday, the team revealed the primary sponsor of its Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 for the two events.

United Rentals, a longtime partner of Hill, will bring their blue, and white colors on board the car. Hill, who is in the hunt for the 2023 NASCAR Xfinity Series championship, says it is a privilege to carry the company on his car in the NASCAR Cup Series.

“I’ve had a great relationship with United Rentals throughout my entire career, and they have been supportive of each step I’ve taken,” Hill said in a team release. “It’s an honor to have them on board as a primary partner in the Cup Series, and I look forward to sporting their colors on the No. 62 Chevrolet at Daytona and Charlotte.”

United Rentals, which has gone all-in on sponsoring drivers and teams in the world of racing the last few years, explains that there are many parallels between NASCAR and their company.

“NASCAR is a natural partner for us with its focus on performance, teamwork, and safety,” said Craig Schmidt, Vice President, National Accounts, United Rentals. “The same goes for United Rentals and the way we Work United for our team, customers, and communities. We have developed some wonderful relationships through our NASCAR partnerships, including the one we have with Austin Hill. We look forward to working with him in his Cup Series endeavors and with the entire Beard family and team.”

Having a sponsorship partner at the level of United Rentals is an impactful announcement for the Beard Motorsports team, which continues to forge the legacy started by the late Mark Beard.

“We are thrilled to have an organization like United Rentals join us for these two races,” Linda Beard said. “It’s surreal to me how much this team continues to grow and evolve because it’s still very much a passion project for me, my daughter Amie and son Mark Jr. This has been such an amazing season for our race team and family. We’re so excited to have the opportunity to take this No. 62 Chevrolet to some tracks that are new for us as a race team, and we couldn’t do it without the support of the partners that have signed on with us this year.”

Hill, who has amassed a total of four wins in NASCAR Xfinity Series competition this season and is the regular season point leader, has attempted four NASCAR Cup Series events in 2023 and has made the field for three of them.

The best finish for the driver of the No. 62 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 so far this season was a 24th-place finish at Talladega Superspeedway.

The Beard Motorsports organization has recorded one top-five finish and five top-10s in 24 starts over the last six seasons in the NASCAR Cup Series.
