When Trackhouse’s formation was announced in October of 2020, the team’s message was simple. Crafted by Justin Marks, Trackhouse wants to change the landscape in NASCAR and break barriers that other organizations have failed to.

In Loudon this weekend, the team will take a stand in uncharted waters to show their support and unity alongside co-owner, Pitbull.

Daniel Suarez’s No. 99 Camaro will feature the Cuban flag placed on either side of the car, amidst unrest in the country just 90-miles south of Miami.

A Cuban-American himself,  Pitbull, whose real name is Armando Christian Pérez, posted an emotional video to social media regarding the unrest among citizens in Cuba.

Warning: Video contains explicit language.

“Not only is this a Cuba event, a Cuba thing – this is a world event,” Pérez said passionately. “This isn’t about politics, this is about saving lives. This is about unity, not division. And bottom line, this is about taking action.”

In part due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Cuba has been grappling with shortages of critical supplies such as food and medicine. On top of power outages and rising inflation, the people of Cuba have taken to the streets to protest, leading to unrest in the country.

The decal on the car will have “Support Freedom” in both English and Spanish surrounding the flag.

The Monterrey, Mexico driver is expected to roll of 31st in Sunday’s Foxwoods Casino 301 at New Hampshire.
