Todd Gilliland, who became the senior member of the Front Row Motorsports driver roster following the departure of Michael McDowell, will take over the organization’s flagship No. 34 Ford Mustang Dark Horse in 2025.

With his move to the No. 34 entry, Gilliland will officially be reunited as a member of the Love’s Travel Stops family. Gilliland drove for the Love’s Speedco brand in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series in 2020 and 2021. The longtime Front Row Motorsports primary sponsor will continue its role with the team as a primary sponsorship partner of Gilliland in the upcoming season.

“I do not take this next step lightly,” Gilliland explained in a press release. “I have seen the rise of the team and the new level of expectations. It is an honor that Love’s is putting their trust in me to continue to grow this team and compete for wins and get into the playoffs. I am gracious for this opportunity and look forward to 2025.”

Gilliand’s father David Gilliland piloted the No. 34 Ford for Front Row Motorsports during the 2011 NASCAR Cup Series season, a season where the elder Gilliland recorded a third-place finish in the Daytona 500.

“It is really humbling to race the No. 34 Love’s Travel Stops Ford Mustang beginning next season,” said Gilliland. “It’s just another cool moment in my career to race for a company that represented my father at FRM. The 34 Ford is what started FRM in the Cup Series and there is a lot of history with Love’s, FRM, and my family. I still remember watching my dad race the Love’s Ford.”

Front Row Motorsports says additional partners, and a crew chief for Gilliland in 2025 will be announced at a later date.

Todd Gilliland, who landed a multi-year contract extension with FRM in June, took a step forward in his progression behind the wheel during the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series season. The 24-year-old racer matched his career-high with four top-10 finishes, had the most lead lap finishes (24) of any season of his career (previous high was 17 in 2022 and 2023), and he had the fewest DNFs (3) of his three-year career.

Additionally, Gilliland finished the season 22nd in the NASCAR Cup Series championship standings, which was also a career-best (previous best was 28th in 2022, and 2023), and with 130 laps led last season, Gilliland led 119 more laps in 2024 than he had led in his opening two seasons in the NASCAR Cup Series combined.

Gilliland, who has 108 career starts in the NASCAR Cup Series, will look to break into victory lane for the first time in his Cup Series career in 2025.

Noah Gragson will join Gilliland as a teammate at Front Row Motorsports in 2025 in a car number to be announced later, and the team has plans to expand to three cars next season. At this time, the third driver has yet to be announced, as the team is embroiled in an antitrust lawsuit against NASCAR along with 23XI Racing, which could impact whether the organization expands in 2025.
