Following Sunday’s Wise Power 400 at Auto Club Speedway, NASCAR has handed one Cup Series team a large penalty, following an incident on track in which Front Row Motorsports’ No. 38 lost a wheel during the event.

As a result, per Sections 10.5.2.6 of the NASCAR Cup Series Rule Book, the sanctioning body has suspended three crew members from the Front Row Motorsports team for the next four championship races.

Seth Barbour, Jourdan Osinskie, and Tanner Andrews were the three crew members that were suspended as a result of the infraction. Barbour is the crew chief of Gilliland’s entry.

Both Osinskie and Andrews are members of Team Penske’s back-up pit crew in the NASCAR Cup Series, and do not pit cars in the NASCAR Xfinity Series or NASCAR Camping World Truck Series.

Front Row Motorsports has yet to officially name an interim crew chief for Gilliland in the next event at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
