Television Ratings: Cup Race at Chicago Posts Decent Overnight Ratings Despite Rain Delay

A nearly three and a half hour rain delay did not prevent Sunday’s Camping World 400 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race from posting decent ratings on NBCSN.

The overnight Nielsen rating for Sunday’s race was a 1.4.

Of course, last year’s race was not rain delayed, but it only posted a 1.6 rating. So considering the rain delay, Sunday’s overnight rating has to feel like a win.

The top five markets that consumed the race were: Charlotte (4.3), Greenville (3.97), Richmond (3.72), Greensboro (3.67) and Naples (3.41).
