As far as full-fledged NASCAR Throwback paint schemes go in the 2019 Bojangles Southern 500, none may throw it as far back as Rick Ware Racing’s No. 52 Jacob Companies car, which is scheduled to be driven by JJ Yeley..

The white scheme will throw it back to Bill Blair’s 1953 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series season.

In that season, Blair won an event, had six top-five finishes and eight top-10’s. Blair finished 15th in the championship standings despite only running 21 of the 37 races that season.

In all, Blair scored three wins in NASCAR’s premier series over 123 starts. He also accrued 30 top-fives and 54 top-10 finishes.
