Trackhouse Racing announced a new primary sponsorship partner on Sunday at Atlanta Motor Speedway prior to the Ambetter Health 400. Quaker State will join the team as a primary sponsor for Daniel Suárez and the No. 99 Chevrolet Camaro.
The primary sponsorship will be for two races on the No. 99 car at Richmond Raceway in April and at Atlanta Motor Speedway in the July Quaker State 400. The brand will also serve as an associate sponsor for both the No. 99 and the No. 1 entries for Trackhouse Racing during the 2023 season.
“As a young kid from Monterrey, Mexico, I remember my very first race — professional race — that I attended,” Suárez said. “I was watching my good friend Adrian Fernandez, and Adrian Fernandez was sponsored by Quaker State. Since then, I was like, ‘What a cool brand Quaker State is,’ and if you guys have been in Mexico before, being connected with cars and car shops and everything like that, Quaker State is everywhere in Mexico. Quaker State is a brand in Mexico that every single person just trusts so much.”
For Quaker State, the announcement of its extension of the title sponsorship of the Quaker State 400 and the new partnership with Trackhouse Racing showcases its dedication to motorsports.
Suárez has one career NASCAR Cup Series victory, which came last year at Sonoma Raceway. With his win a season ago, Suárez locked up his first NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs appearance.
The Mexico native scored a NASCAR Xfinity Series championship in 2016, while driving for Joe Gibbs Racing. Since moving to NASCAR Cup Series competition in 2017, Suárez has had stints with JGR, Stewart-Haas Racing, and Gaunt Brothers Racing.
Suárez landed with the newly formed Trackhouse Racing for the 2021 season, and the pairing has proved to be very potent ever since.
Through four starts in 2023, Suárez has one top-five finish and three top-10s and he sits 11th in the championship standings.
Trackhouse Racing, which expanded to two full-time entries in 2022, had each of its cars in the NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs, and Ross Chastain finished runner-up in the championship standings in the team’s No. 1 entry.
