There are a total of 38 cars on the preliminary entry list for the NASCAR Cup Series Grant Park 220 street race in Chicago.

There are 38 cars [for 40 spots] on the preliminary entry list for Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series Grant Park 220 – the inaugural race for the series on the Chicago Street Course.

Ross Chastain, who scored his first NASCAR Cup Series victory of the 2023 season last weekend at Nashville Superspeedway, will return to his post as the driver of the No. 1 Chevrolet Camaro for Trackhouse Racing.

While most of the driver and team pairings are exactly what you would expect, and don’t change from week to week, there are still a couple of notable names on the entry list for this historic event.

Jenson Button returns to the NASCAR Cup Series for his second career start on the streets of Chicago, driving the No. 15 Mobil 1 Ford Mustang for Rick Ware Racing. Driving the No. 51, a teammate to the No. 15, will be Andy Lally.

Josh Bilicki will return to the No. 78 for Live Fast Motorsports, after competing in the entry over the last three events at Gateway, Sonoma, and Nashville.

Additionally, there will be two open entries present for the Grant Park 220, those being Jimmie Johnson in the No. 84 for LEGACY MOTOR CLUB, and Shane Van Gisbergen in the No. 91 for Trackhouse Racing, as part of the PROJECT91 entry.
