Practice Results: NASCAR Cup Series Enjoy Illinois 300 at Gateway

Joey Logano led the way in single-lap speed in Saturday’s NASCAR Cup Series practice session at World Wide Technology Raceway at Gateway. Logano’s fastest lap was a 33.468 second (134.444 mph) circuit around the track.

Logano’s Team Penske teammate Ryan Blaney was second fastest in the session, and was just 0.001 sec. slower than Logano. With rain threatening, NASCAR combined Group A and B into one practice session. A brief rain shower around 11 minutes left in the session, halted things, but the session was able to finish under green flag conditions.

Ty Gibbs, Tyler Reddick, and Bubba Wallace rounded out the top-five fastest in the session.
