Part-time NASCAR Xfinity Series driver Kaz Grala will be forced to continue his sponsorship search for the 2021 NASCAR season, after the 21-year-old announced Monday Morning that his main sponsor for 2021 has decided to move in a different direction because of “political uncertainty and the unknowns it presents for their business.”

Grala says he has been “very, very close” to closing a couple of incredible full-time opportunities in the NASCAR Cup Series for 2021, but with the recent loss of sponsorship, the Boston,  Massachusetts-native will have to scramble in order to find sufficient funding for any potential deals to come together.

With the incredibly early onset of silly season announcements this season, the number of full-time opportunities that are available at NASCAR’s top-level for next season are extremely limited, which exponentially increases the urgency of the sponsorship search for Grala.

Last week, it was announced on Instagram that Kaz Grala had signed a multi-year partnership with Thermal Brands:

“…now we get to work with Kaz [Grala] on designing and managing his brand on and off the racetrack. We are also excited to help Kaz [Grala] redefine the NASCAR community as it begins to gravitate towards more culturally-relevant partnerships with brands like Air Jordan and TikTok. Looking forward to an amazing future with Kaz and the team.”

With his top-ten finish at Talladega for NIECE Motorsports, Grala joined Kyle Busch as the only two drivers to score top-tens in all three of NASCAR’s National Series this year, highlighted be an incredible seventh-place finish in his NASCAR Cup Series debut at Daytona International Speedway’s Road Course, while filling in for Austin Dillon in the No. 3 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LE.
