It feels almost as if a new era has arrived at Hendrick Motorsports starting in 2021.

With Chase Elliott bringing home the Bill France Cup to Concord, Alex Bowman moving to the No. 48, and the return of Kyle Larson, Hendrick Motorsports will hold plenty of headlines for the upcoming season.

With the return of the flagship No. 5 at Hendrick Motorsports, fans have been speculating on who would adorn the hood of Larson’s Camaro ZL1 1LE has he returns to NASCAR.

Speculate no more, as Hendrick Motorsports announced on Thursday that Nations Guard will serve as the primary sponsor of California native for the 2021 Daytona 500. The news was revealed first in the #HendrickNation newsletter.

Nations Guard is apart of the Hendrick Automotive Group per company filings from HAG Automotive Investments.

The sponsor will also be featured on the car at the DAYTONA Road Course on Feb. 21 and in Homestead Miami on Feb. 28.

The announcement shouldn’t really come as a surprise to many fans. Larson’s hauler with a similar design was spotted on a highway in North Carolina earlier this month. The sponsorship hunt for Larson is expected to be rather difficult because of the racial slur incident back in April that booted Larson from Chip Ganassi Racing, and handed him a suspension from NASCAR. Team owner Rick Hendrick acknowledged the expected difficulties in an article with Fobes back in November.

HendrickCars.com is also expected to take a primary sponsorship role as well as multiple delete videos and images from the NASCAR on FOX Production shoot showed Larson in a blue HendrickCars.com firesuit.

The Hendrick Motorsports No. 5 will return to the track with Larson behind the wheel on February 14th for the 2021 Daytona 500. The Cup Series season is set to go green at 2:30PM EST on FOX and the FOX Sports app.
