After an incredible NASCAR Xfinity Series race at the Chicago Street Course on Saturday, it’s time for the NASCAR Cup Series Grant Park 165 on Sunday, July 7.

Kyle Larson, the driver of the No. 5 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 will roll from the pole in Sunday’s race, and he’ll be joined by Ty Gibbs on the front row. Shane van Gisbergen, who won Saturday’s Xfinity Series event, and is the defending winner of the NASCAR Cup Chicago Street Race, will start from the fifth position.

At least nine drivers will have to drop to the rear before Sunday’s race goes green for a variety of reasons.

Brad Keselowski (qualified 10th) will go to the rear due to unapproved adjustments following damage sustained in the final round of qualifying on Saturday, Chris Buescher (16th) and Ryan Blaney (17th) will go to the rear after repairs to the toe-links and suspensions on their cars, Corey LaJoie (20th) will go to the rear due to unapproved adjustments following damage in qualifying, Erik Jones (25th) will go to the rear for unapproved adjustments, William Byron (27th) will go to the rear for unapproved adjustments related to the power steering system on his car, Harrison Burton (31st) and Josh Berry (36th) will go to the rear due to unapproved adjustments after qualifying crashes, and Josh Bilicki (39th) will go to the rear after multiple inspection failures in pre-race inspection.

The day’s televised activity will begin with the NASCAR Cup Series Pre-Race Show at 4:00 PM ET on NBC (streamable on the NBC Sports App), and the Grant Park 165 race broadcast will follow at 4:30 PM ET.
