On Thursday, NASCAR released the first photo of the noose that was found in Bubba Wallace’s garage stall last Sunday at Talladega Superspeedway.

As you can plainly see in the photo, it certainly is a noose, unlike many that have speculated that it was a simple knot.

This should make a little more sense why NASCAR reacted in the manner that it did, when the sanctioning body was alerted of this pull down rope in the No. 43 team’s garage stall, but that it wasn’t present in any other garage stall’s pull down rope.

After an investigation by NASCAR and the FBI, it was determined that the noose had been up in the Talladega Superspeedway garage since at least October of 2019.

Of course, it’s worth noting that October 2019 was the first race weekend for this set of garages as they were built brand new before that race weekend.

NASCAR President Steve Phelps will once again address the media in a teleconference at 12:30 PM ET on Thursday.
