Congratulations are in order for Michael and Jami McDowell, as the couple has welcomed its fifth child, a daughter named Isabella Grace McDowell. On Tuesday, Michael McDowell shared the news via a social media update, which was combined with two photos of the family’s new addition.

McDowell’s tweet stated, “A verse revealed, a promised given, a literal dream come true. This little girl’s life has the most amazing back story. A true miracle. Meet the newest McDowell, Isabella Grace.”

Isabella Grace joins her new siblings Trace, Emma, Rylie, and Lucas.

Now, the McDowells are a family of seven.

McDowell, 38, finished 28th in the NASCAR Cup Series season-opening Daytona 500 at Daytona International Speedway on Sunday.

The Arizona native is coming off of the most successful season of his NASCAR Cup Series career in 2022, a year where he tied or set new career-highs in just about every statistical category.

McDowell scored two top-fives (tied career-high), 12 top-10s (more than doubled his previous career-high), led 67 laps (career high), had an average start of 17th (career-best), an average finish of 16.7 (career-best), was running at the end of 34 races (tied a career-high) and had 24 lead lap finishes (career-high).

The racer has one career NASCAR Cup Series victory, which came in the 2021 Daytona 500. McDowell also has one career NASCAR Xfinity Series win, which came at Road America during the 2016 season.

Following an impressive season in 2022, McDowell’s crew chief Blake Harris announced a move from Front Row Motorsports as McDowell’s crew chief to Hendrick Motorsports as the new crew chief for Alex Bowman in 2023.

Travis Peterson has stepped in as McDowell’s new crew chief for the 2023 season.
