UPDATE: Justin Haley, Joey Gase and Brendan Gauguin will all be going to the rear as well after unapproved adjustments before the race.
A week ago, Kyle Larson nearly scored his first Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series points-paying win of 2019.
Larson’s path for winning this weekend’s Coke Zero Sugar 400 at Daytona International Speedway will have to come from the rear of the field.
According to Bob Pockrass, the No. 42 team had to change the fuel probe in their Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 Saturday afternoon. As this adjustment to the car came after cars were impounded, Larson will move to the rear of the field Saturday night.
Larson will be joined at the rear by William Byron who had to go to a backup car earlier in the weekend after a practice collision with Brad Keselowski.
