Two-time NASCAR Cup Series champion Kyle Busch has signed a contract extension with Richard Childress Racing (RCR), which will see the race-winning driver remain the pilot of the No. 8 Chevrolet through the 2026 campaign.

The 40-year-old driver is one of the most successful drivers in NASCAR’s modern era, boasting a career that spans more than two decades and includes 63 wins in the NASCAR Cup Series, 102 wins in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, and 67 wins in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series.
Busch first joined forces with Richard Childress Racing in 2023, after his 15-year tenure with Joe Gibbs Racing came to an end. In 84 NASCAR Cup Series starts behind the wheel of the No. 8 Chevrolet, Busch has captured three wins, 16 top-five, and 31 top-10 finishes.
The Las Vegas, Nevada-native is currently riding the longest winless streak of his NASCAR Cup Series career, last going to victory lane at World Wide Technology Raceway in June 2023.

From a one-man organization in 1969, Richard Childress has grown RCR into one of the most storied organizations in NASCAR, with 200-plus wins and 16 championships, including six in the NASCAR Cup Series with Dale Earnhardt.
The team was the first to win championships in the NASCAR Cup Series, NASCAR Xfinity Series, and NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, and is a three-time winner of the prestigious DAYTONA 500 (1998, 2007, and 2018).
Kyle Busch will join Austin Dillon as a part of the two-car driver lineup for Richard Childress Racing in 2026. Additional details, such as sponsorship, will be announced at a later date.
