As Kyle Busch embarks on his first NASCAR Cup Series season with Richard Childress Racing, he and the team will have a brand new partner in select races during the 2023 season. The organization announced on Monday that Netspend, a leading provider of payments and financial consumers and businesses, will be the primary sponsor for the No. 8 Chevrolet Camaro in select races this year.

According to a press release from Richard Childress Racing, the first race of the partnership will be at Circuit of the Americas on March 26th. Netspend is headquartered near COTA in Austin, Texas.

Netspend looks forward to the partnership with not only one of the greatest drivers in the history of the sport in Busch, but one of the most storied race teams in the NASCAR Cup Series as well in RCR.

“Both Richard Childress Racing and Kyle Busch are living out their dreams every day, having won multiple championships and some of the most prestigious races in motorsports,” said Kelley Knutson, president of Netspend. “We’re looking forward to seeing the No. 8 Netspend Chevy on race tracks across America and delivering our key marketing and business objectives through this unique platform with the RCR team partnership.”

Likewise, Richard Childress Racing is excited for the partnership and will do their best to put the brand on the map for folks in the world of NASCAR.

“We appreciate Netspend’s technology-focused approach to their business and unique ability to connect people and brands together with innovative payment solutions, which aligns well with Richard Childress Racing’s approach to our industry,” said Torrey Galida, president of Richard Childress Racing. “We’d like to welcome Netspend to RCR, and look forward to building brand awareness, engaging strategic partners, driving new business relationships, and introducing even more consumers to Netspend’s broad suite of payment products and technologies.”

No additional races or a full total of primary sponsorship races for RCR and Netspend were made available at the time of the announcement.

Busch is a two-time NASCAR Cup Series champion, who has 60 NASCAR Cup Series victories under his belt. The 37-year-old racer had run for Joe Gibbs Racing in the NASCAR Cup Series from the 2008 season until 2022, but the pairing parted ways at the conclusion of the 2022 season.

On September 13th, Busch announced his move to Richard Childress Racing for the 2023 NASCAR Cup Series season.

In addition to Netspend, Busch will have primary sponsorship from Cheddar’s, 3CHI, Lenovo, Alsco Uniforms and BetMGM during the 2023 season.
