Kevin Harvick took his fourth victory of the 2020 NASCAR Cup Series season, as he was able to hold off 48-year old Matt Kenseth for the win in the Brickyard 400 on a green-white-checkered finish.
Harvick now has 53-career wins.
Harvick, who led a race-high 68 laps, inherited the lead on lap 154 when Denny Hamlin — who was the leader of the race — cut a right front tire down and crashed hard.
On the ensuing restart, Harvick got a great shove from his Stewart-Haas Racing teammate Cole Custer to secure the victory.
Kenseth finished second, his best effort since returning to competition after Chip Ganassi fired Kyle Larson during the coronavirus break.
Aric Almirola scored his fifth-consecutive top-five finish as he came home third.
Brad Keselowski and Custer finished fourth and fifth.
Kyle Busch, Michael McDowell, Tyler Reddick, Bubba Wallace and Joey Logano rounded out the top-10 finishers in the race.
