Inspection following a grueling night in the NASCAR Cup Series garage at Darlington Raceway is complete. Kyle Larson is the official winner of the 2023 Cook Out Southern 500.

Larson, the driver of the No. 5 HendrickCars.com Chevrolet Camaro for Hendrick Motorsports, passed all aspects of post-race technical inspection after Sunday’s 500-mile contest, scoring his third win of the NACAR Cup Series season.

Sunday’s victory marks the 22nd for Larson in the NASCAR Cup Series, and his first at the 1.366-mile facility located in Darlington, South Carolina. His triumph also marks the 299th victory at NASCAR’s top level for Hendrick Motorsports, the most all-time.

There were no major issues in inspection following Sunday’s event, meaning Tyler Reddick, Chris Buescher, William Byron, and Ross Chastain will each keep their positions inside the top five.

The No. 42 (Carson Hocevar) and the No. 54 (Ty Gibbs) will return to the NASCAR R&D Center for further inspection.

Additionally, Larson has officially clinched a spot in the ‘Round of 12’ for the NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs, this season. With two races remaining until the elimination of the bottom four drivers, only 11 spots remain.

With the completion of the inspection process, all race results and point standings distributed by NASCAR are now deemed official.
