Kevin Harvick’s crew chief Rodney Childers is regarded as one of the best crew chiefs in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series garage area. In 14 years as a crew chief, Childers has compiled 25 victories and a championship in 2014.

However, there is something that Childers had never accomplished before Harvick’s Duel win on Thursday night: a win at a restrictor plate track.

In 17 years of being a NASCAR crew member/crew chief, Childers had never won a restrictor plate race. That is absolutely unbelievable.
