One of the most famous locations in the city of Nashville is joining NASCAR in celebration of the sport’s return to the Music City.

Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge will be featured on the No. 99 Camaro of Trackhouse, and Daniel Suarez for the Ally 400 on June 20th.

“Nothing is more quintessential Nashville than Tootsie’s,” said Justin Marks, Co-Owner of Trackhouse. “When I saw Nashville on the Cup Series schedule last year, my first thought was to find a way to represent this amazing city in a big way. It is very important to me that Trackhouse become a recognized part of the Nashville community, as a professional sports team, as good citizens, and as vocal ambassadors for the region.”

Marks shared his vision of marrying Nashville’s iconic strip of Broadway with Trackhouse with Steve Smith, owner of Tootsie’s, and multiple bars around Lower Broadway. It was a shared vision between the parties.

“We love a big party and having NASCAR in Nashville is worth celebrating,” said Smith, who owns multiple Lower Broadway bars. “Country music fans and racing fans are one and the same. We are very excited to host these passionate fans and be a part of such a historic event.”

The partnership will translate over to Driver No. 99’s firesuit, which will feature cowboy boots as a nod to Nashville’s music history.

“I know much more about country music in Mexico than I do about country music in the United States, but my crew chief, Travis Mack, and I are going to Nashville early in the week to experience Tootsie’s for ourselves,” said Suárez.

The paint scheme, designed by Kyle Sykes,  will feature the same iconic shade of purple on the exterior of the building located on Broadway. According to tradition, a painter mistakenly painted the exterior of the building the wrong color. The shade was kept and has now become a trademark feature of the venue.

“The whole idea of the car is to reflect the iconic building color and that’s why you see the brick pattern featured on the car,” Sykes told TobyChristie.com. “It’s such an iconic tourist destination on Broadway that it sticks out in a unique way, and we wanted the car to reflect that.

The Nashville race weekend in particular has been a weekend circled on Trackhouse’s calendar for 2021.

As Sykes explained, “This is not only a huge weekend for NASCAR but for Trackhouse as well. This is our team’s biggest weekend of the year, considering that we are the only Nashville-based team. Knowing all the connections that Justin has built within the Nashville community, it’s going to be a very special weekend.”

Thanks to the magnitude of the weekend for the team, Pitbull is expected to be in attendance for the race. The worldwide recording artist also was at the track with Trackhouse for the Daytona 500, and Miami earlier this year.

Fans can see the No. 99 Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge Camaro hit the track on Sunday, June 20th at 3:30 PM EST on NBCSN.
