Hertz Extends Contract With William Byron, Hendrick Through 2021

Despite the fact that he’s still looking for career win No. 1 in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series, William Byron has had an incredible sophomore season in the series.

Now, the great performances that he’s had on the track are turning into longer contract deals with current sponsors.

Hertz will extend their current contract with Byron and Hendrick Motorsports through the 2021 season. The rental car agency will continue to be the primary sponsor on Byron’s car in four races per season.

This news was first broken by Adam Stern of Sports Business Journal and has since been confirmed with a press release from the team.

Byron has scored four top-five finishes and 12 top-10s this season, and he made the NASCAR Playoffs for the first time in his Cup Series career. Byron’s best finish this year was a runner-up effort at Daytona International Speedway in July.
