In preparation for his maiden attempt in the Daytona 500, Helio Castroneves will compete in the ARCA Menards Series season-opener at Daytona International Speedway.

The four-time Indianapolis 500 winner will be piloting the No. 82 Chevrolet SS, a second entry for Pinnacle Racing Group, in the ARCA Menards Series season-opener.

Earlier this week, Castroneves was announced to be attempting the 2025 Daytona 500 with Trackhouse Racing, as part of the organization’s Project91 effort.

“I am looking forward to ARCA racing,” said Castroneves who will be in Daytona on Thursday at the ARCA test. “I think getting as much seat time as possible will help in our preparation for the Daytona 500, plus I have watched ARCA races in the past on television and they look like a lot of fun.”

With the event taking place on Saturday, Castroneves will already know whether he and Trackhouse Racing will be taking the green flag in Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series season-opener.

Last season, Pinnacle Racing Group fielded an entry at Daytona International Speedway for Shane Van Gisbergen, while also running full-time in the ARCA Menards Series East for Trackhouse driver Connor Zilisch.

The organization was able to capture five victories with Connor Zilisch and the No. 28 Chevrolet SS in 2024, while capturing an additional win with Connor Mosack.

The 2025 ARCA Menards Series season-opener at Daytona International Speedway will air live on FOX, marking the first time in series history a race has aired on broadcast television.
