OFFICIAL PRESS RELEASE
MOORESVILLE, N.C. (March 20, 2019) – Spire Motorsports has reached an agreement with Go-Parts to sponsor the team’s No. 77 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 at this weekend’s Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series (MENCS) STP 500 at Martinsville Speedway where D.J. Kennington will handle the driving assignment.

As one of eCommerce’s “original” auto parts retailers, Go-Parts delivers high-quality, low-cost replacement parts to satisfied customers across the globe. Boasting one of the industry’s largest online catalogs, Go-Parts shoppers can be sure they’re finding the right parts for the job every time.

Kennington is a two-time NASCAR Pinty’s Series Champion who has 15 previous MENCS starts on his resume. In two previous races in NASCAR’s premiere division at Martinsville’s famed paper-clip shaped half-mile oval, Kennington has completed 98.6 percent of the laps contested and finished in the top 30 on both occasions. The St. Thomas, Ontario, Canada native also has three Martinsville NASCAR Gander Outdoor Truck Series starts to his credit with a best finish of 17th coming in March of 2010.

“We are thrilled to be back in the Cup Series and very excited to be teaming up with Spire Motorsports. The entire Go-Parts team is looking forward to collaborating with team ownership at multiple events both in 2019 and beyond.  Martinsville is always an exciting and welcoming place, and we can’t wait to cheer D.J. Kennington and the No. 77 Go-Parts Chevrolet Sunday afternoon.”

Finding the right parts is easy with Go-Parts, where consumers can visit Go-Parts.com, enter their vehicle’s year, make, and model, and be instantly presented with a wide variety of part categories to help find everything they need to keep their car or truck safely on the road.  Insurance companies, collision shops, and do-it-yourselfers all trust Go-Parts to deliver the parts they need quickly.

Spire Motorsports has competed all in all five MENCS races in 2019. The Mooresville, N.C. team has fielded an entry for four different drivers including Jamie McMurray, Garrett Smithley, Reed Sorenson and Quin Houff.

“We’re proud to have Go-Parts join the Spire Motorsports family and greatly appreciate their support,” commented Spire Motorsports co-owner Jeff Dickerson. “D.J. Kennington is a journeyman racer with some experience at Martinsville so we know he’ll do a good job for Spire Motorsports and Go-Parts this weekend.”

The STP 500 from Martinsville Speedway will be televised live on FS1 Sunday, March 24 beginning at 2 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. The sixth of 36 races on the 2019 MENCS schedule will be broadcast live on the Motor Racing Network and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
