For the second year in a row, Kaulig Racing and Food City are teaming up for the Bass Pro Shops Night Race at Bristol Motor Speedway, the team announced on Tuesday.

As part of the continuing agreement, Daniel Hemric will showcase a pair of PepsiCo brands in Mountain Dew and Doritos on his No. 31 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 in Saturday’s NASCAR Cup Series event at Bristol Motor Speedway.

“We’re excited to continue our great partnership with Food City at one of the most exciting races of the season,” said team president, Chris Rice. “For the second year in a row, they have been with us for both Bristol races, and we hope to continue this relationship for years to come.”

Earlier this season, when the NASCAR Cup Series contested its Spring event at Bristol Motor Speedway, the Tennessee-based soft drink brand, alongside the top-selling cheese puff brand in CHEETOS, were both featured on the No. 16 Chevrolet Camaro with AJ Allmendinger behind the wheel.

“Food City is proud to once again team up with our friends from Kaulig Racing and PepsiCo to sponsor Daniel Hemric and the Kaulig Racing No. 31 Camaro ZL1 for Saturday’s running of the Bass Pro Shops Night Race,” says Steven C. Smith, Food City president and chief executive officer.

Hemric, the sole full-timer for Kaulig Racing in the Cup Series, is making his return to the NASCAR Cup Series in 2024, after spending several years competing in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, winning the championship in 2022.

The No. 31 Chevrolet team has finished inside the top-10 on four occasions this season, recording a season-high ninth-place finish at Talladega, Dover, Nashville, and Daytona.

A native of Kannapolis, North Carolina, Hemric enters the Bass Pro Shops Night Race sitting 31st in NASCAR Cup Series point standings, engaging in a tight battle that ranges from 28th to 34th.
