There are 36 drivers [for 40 spots] on the preliminary entry list for Sunday’s Enjoy Illinois 300 at World Wide Technology Raceway, the 15th event of the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series campaign.

In contrast to several events throughout the early portion of the season, Sunday’s 300-mile contest from Madison, Illinois will only feature the teams in possession of a NASCAR Cup Series charter.

After scoring the win in last weekend’s humidity-shortened Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway, Christopher Bell returns to the series in the No. 20 Toyota Camry XSE for Joe Gibbs Racing. Sponsorship will come from DeWalt Tools.

Notable entries for this weekend’s event at World Wide Technology Raceway include Cody Ware (No. 15 Rick Ware Racing Ford Mustang) and Derek Kraus (No. 16 Kaulig Racing Chevrolet Camaro).

The other 34 entries for Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series event will feature their full-time competitors, including the No. 5 for Hendrick Motorsports, which will have the driving prowess of Kyle Larson all weekend, now that his Indianapolis 500 obligations are over.
