There are 37 cars [for 40 spots] on the preliminary entry list for Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series Toyota Owners 400 at Richmond Raceway. Race 7 of 36.
In the field for this weekend’s race at the three-quarter-mile short track in Virginia, are all of the usual suspects in the NASCAR Cup Series, including last weekend’s winner from Circuit of The Americas, Tyler Reddick.
Richmond Raceway also marks the return of Josh Berry to the NASCAR Cup Series field, returning to his role as the primary interim driver in the No. 9 Chevrolet Camaro for Hendrick Motorsports. Jordan Taylor piloted the entry at COTA.
Additionally, both Anthony Alfredo and Chandler Smith will attempt to qualify for their first NASCAR Cup Series events of 2023. Alfredo will drive the No. 78 for Live Fast Motorsports, while Chandler Smith returns to the No. 13, a third entry for Kaulig Racing.
The only other notable driver on the NASCAR Cup Series entry list for Sunday’s event is JJ Yeley, who will return to the seat of the No. 15 Ford Mustang for Rick Ware Racing. Jenson Button piloted the entry at COTA.
The No. 50 for TMT Racing, No. 84 for LEGACY MOTOR CLUB, and No. 91 for Trackhouse Racing will not enter this weekend’s event at Richmond Raceway, after competing at Circuit of The Americas with Conor Daly, Jimmie Johnson, and Kimi Raikkonen, respectively.
