After a headache of an outcome for the Daytona 500, Trackhouse and driver Daniel Suarez finished their first race as an organization on Sunday in Daytona.

It wasn’t without challenge, and it had nothing to do with on-track action.

According to the driver’s Twitter page, Suarez began feeling sick for an unknown reason in the latter half of the race.

Eventually, Suarez actually threw up in his helmet while navigating the Daytona road course.

Impressively, Suarez still managed to bring the No. 99 iFly Camaro home in the 16th position, marking the best finish for Trackhouse in 2021 after an abysmal Daytona 500 result.

Suarez even led the organization’s first laps with 33 laps to go following a round of pit stops and staying out under caution with Matt DiBenedetto.

Suarez now sits 21st in the Cup points standings heading to Homestead-Miami next weekend.
