In an interview with Speed51.com, Corey LaJoie talks about getting ready to run in the prestigious Snowball Derby Super Late Model event at Five Flags Speedway in Pensacola, Florida.

The last time LaJoie competed in the derby was in 2017. He started in the rear, but worked his way toward the front with a really fast car.

Then, with under 100 laps left, LaJoie had a mechanical failure that caused him to crash out. He is looking to atone for that disappointing finish this time around.

“I’m excited, man.  It’s been a while since I drove a Super,” LaJoie said in the interview with Speed51.  “I’m excited to get back down there.  The last time I was there, we were really good and broke a track bar real late in the race.  I thought we had a top-three car.  Hopefully we can go back down there, get it driving good and contend for a good run.”

This year’s edition of the race marks the 52nd annual Snowball Derby.

Other NASCAR National Series names that will join LaJoie in this year’s Snowball Derby include: Harrison Burton, Chandler Smith, David Gilliland, Jordan Anderson and Ty Majeski.
