How is this for a cool and unique sponsorship? Ty Dillon will pilot a special No. 77 Chicago White Sox-sponsored Spire Motorsports Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 in the upcoming NASCAR Cup Series Chicago Street Race.
The primary sponsorship will showcase the Chicago White Sox branding on both the race car and Ty Dillon’s firesuit. The White Sox-themed No. 77 car will also be on display at Guaranteed Rate field on June 23-24.
In addition, Beggar’s Pizza, the official Pizza of the White Sox, will also serve as an associate sponsor of the No. 77 team.
“This partnership with Spire Motorsports is truly a unique opportunity to showcase the White Sox brand during one of the most talked about events in Chicago,” said Mike Downey, White Sox director of marketing and promotions. “The NASCAR Chicago Street Race is certain to be an event for the record books, and we’re grateful to team up with Spire Motorsports and Beggars Pizza to be part of what is sure to be a memorable event for all.”
As NASCAR is set to come to town on the Fourth of July Weekend, the White Sox organization is set to have its first-ever NASCAR Night, which will be presented by Xfinity, on June 23rd. According to a press release, the themed night at the ballpark will include several family-friendly NASCAR activations and a, “fully charged race day atmosphere.”
It’s a truly special partnership and one that Spire Motorsports is thrilled to be a part of.
“Spire Motorsports is thrilled to partner with the Chicago White Sox for this unique opportunity as part of the NASCAR Chicago Street Race and have Ty Dillon’s No. 77 Chevrolet on display at Guaranteed Rate Field during NASCAR night,” said Spire Motorsports President Bill Anthony. “This partnership gives both Spire Motorsports and the White Sox an opportunity to acknowledge and honor our respective fan bases and celebrate Chicago sports culture together.”
The NASCAR Cup Series Grant Park 220 at the Chicago Street Course is set for Sunday, July 2nd. Television coverage will be provided by NBC and the radio call of the race will be available on MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
